CIRCLE II CIRCLE Singer And Rest Of The Band Go Separate Ways

November 8, 2003

CIRCLE II CIRCLE, the new band fronted by former SAVATAGE singer Zachary Stevens, appears to have disintegrated over irreconcilable business-related differences, with Stevens currently standing as the sole remaining member of the group.

The rest of the band — John Zahner (keyboards),Christopher Kinder (drums),Matt La Porte (guitars),Kevin Rothney (bass) and Shane French (guitars) — have posted the following message to CIRCLE II CIRCLE's official web site, www.circle2circle.net:

"We are afraid that the rumors are fact. All members of the band have resigned, effective immediately. We considered ourselves a band of musicians and a band of brothers. We were family. However, 'C2C Inc.' didn't see us in the same light. They had every opportunity to make things right with us. But they sincerely feel that their 'business plan' is the right one for them. So the end result speaks volumes about that business plan. We have been told that the Dec. [European] tour [with SAXON and DORO] will continue with all-new players.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank the fans everywhere for their amazing support. Many of you gave your time, your money and your hearts to promote the success of the band, and the five of us are incredibly grateful for your generosity. The live reviews speak for themselves and it was a thrill and an honor to have performed this music for the fans around the world. That is something we will miss. But have no fear, a band like us must continue in some form. So keep your eyes and ears open,… we will be looking for you again soon.

"Goodbye for now!

"Kevin, Matt, Shane, John, and Chris"

In a separate posting to the site, French has indicated that he plans on putting his previous band TEER back together for another CD and finishing some tracks with MILLENIUM and Ralph Santolla (ICED EARTH, ex-DEATH). No information is currently available about the other ex-CIRCLE II CIRCLE members' future plans.
